Nigeria Election: INEC releases total number of registered voters, PVC collection per State

Ahead of February 23 presidential election, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has said 72 million Nigerians collected their permanent voter cards (PVCs). The INEC chairman, Mahmood Yakubu, made this known on Thursday while addressing a press conference in Abuja. Yakubu said, ”72.7 million Nigerians who have collected their PVCs represent 86.3 percent of the over 84 million registered voters in the country.” He added that the uncollected cards had been deposited at the Central Bank of Nigeria. Below is the total number of registered voters and PVC collected per state.

Education Minister announces date for 2020 WAEC examinations

The Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajiuba, on Monday, announced that the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) has been scheduled to commence in August.
